I've always been someone who can't stop asking "why." There's a curiosity in me that pushes me to question everything to the point where I often find myself spiraling into an abyss of uncertainty without any clear direction or foundation for reality.

It's a daunting place to be, where the only clear answer I find is "I don't know." Yet, this very acknowledgment of not knowing has become the cornerstone of my journey through life and my exploration of different philosophies.

I've grappled with nihilism for a significant portion of my life, especially in my younger years. But I've gradually found my way out of that dark place by exploring various philosophies and embracing the complexity of existence.

One concept that has significantly influenced my perspective is the idea of infinite games. Unlike zero-sum games, where there are clear winners and losers, infinite games are all about continuation and perpetuity. The goal isn't to win but to keep the game going and to keep evolving.

This philosophy has fundamentally changed how I view my existence and role in the universe. It's moved me towards more cooperative and positive-sum games, where the objective is collective progress and success. It's a mindset that not only aligns with our social and biological evolution but also provides a framework for finding meaning in life beyond the traditional metrics of success and failure.

In my personal journey, I now aim to contribute to this collective narrative by raising human consciousness. I want to foster a deeper understanding and connection among us. I see this as my infinite game, where the objective is not just personal enlightenment but a collective elevation of consciousness.

However, embracing this infinite game wasn't straightforward. The existential and absurd questions of life often led me down a path of nihilism, where I viewed human existence as a blight on the planet. But philosophical exploration, particularly existentialism and absurdism, gave me a new perspective.

Existentialism taught me that we can create our own meaning, while absurdism explained how stupid the search for meaning is.

Embracing absurdism, I've chosen to live fully and embrace the absurdity of existence without succumbing to philosophical suicide—the act of adopting a belief system without true understanding or conviction. I remain open to various possibilities, acknowledging that while I may never find absolute answers, the pursuit itself is what gives life depth and richness.

For those of you who find yourselves asking "why" without end, who feel lost in the vastness of existence, I encourage you to define your infinite game. It's not about finding definitive answers but choosing a direction that gives your life meaning and purpose. Embrace the absurdity, commit to your chosen path, and become an absurd hero.

I'm still on this journey of inquiry and discovery, and I'm eager to share it with you. We're all in this together, striving to be good humans and contribute to our species' (or THE) collective consciousness.

Until next time, keep questioning, find your infinite game, and above all, be good humans.

Love,
Jake
