My visual secrets

I struggled to gain followers.

I spent hours and hours writing, experimenting, and iterating.

I took the Dan Koe courses. I took the Kieran Drew course.

I learned to write better.

But writing better was not the silver bullet.

Words all look the same when people are scrolling.

Attention spans on social media are 0. And competition is high.

I needed my ideas to instantly resonate, no reading required.

But not in that stupid "YouTube" Mr. Beast face way. In a way that felt authentic to me and my ideas. Plus, that stupid face is played out.

Luckily, I had some other skills to back up my writing.

Get more DMs, more profiles Visits, and more reposts.

I've been a designer for 15+ years. Ironically, I did not initially realize how valuable those skills would be on social media.

It turns out they are EXTREMELY useful for grabbing attention.

Not only for grabbing attention but for converting that attention into followers. When I post a graphic on X I see a ~20% increase in profile visits compared to when I post without a graphic.

Not only do graphics get eyeballs, they create "aha!" moments. Those moments convert to followers. Followers convert to fans.

Once I nailed my process, I started growing way faster than others who started at the same time as me.

I found a repeatable framework for making graphics that resonate, and now it's on auto-pilot.

Of course, growing an audience on social media requires consistency, engagement, and writing skills. But none of these matter if you can't grab attention.

And grabbing attention is exactly what you can do with graphics.

As a systems nerd, I've spent the last ~6 months refining my process for creating graphics for social media into a repeatable framework.

And I'd like to share it with you.

Want to start making graphics to grow on social media?

It's a good move. From my data, posts on X that include graphics get 20% more profiles visits.
